OECE COVID-19 Resources

Vaccination

The vaccine is one of the most important ways to end the pandemic. The City of San Francisco is currently vaccinating all people who live, work, or learn in SF and are 6 months of age and older.

Step up for your health, the health of your loved ones, and of your community.

Testing

COVID-19 testing is a key tool in stopping the spread and protecting one another. Any time you feel sick or have a known exposure, get tested.

There are many free PCR testing sites throughout the City.

SF DPH Child Care Guidance

Below we have compiled some of the most important guidance and resources from the SF Department of Public Health related to COVID-19 safety and regulations in child care settings.

Covid Support for Programs

DEC is using local funding to support programs who close for any reason related to a Covid-19 outbreak at their program.  ELS-FCC programs will now continue to receive a full payment for their state and locally funded enrollments during their entire Covid-19 closure period.

Previously, the Covid-19 Closure Grant was available to ELS-FCC programs closed due to the owner or another living in the home contracting Covid-19; and those that received a grant did not receive payment for their state and local enrollments during their closure period. Now, under the new policy there are no gaps in payments.

Covid Support for Families

The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused financial hardships for many families. Below are resources that can help provide financial relief.

Food & Diaper Assistance

Located throughout every neighborhood in San Francisco, Family Resource Centers (FRCs) provide safe places where families can join other families in fun activities that enhance their knowledge and skills as parents.

Throughout the pandemic, Many Family Resource Centers are also providing food and diaper assistance.

Rental Assistance

The City is partnering with the California COVID-19 Rent Relief Program (housingiskey.com) to accelerate rental assistance to San Francisco tenants and landlords who have experienced financial hardship during the pandemic.
