Low Income Investment Fund
The Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) administers early care and education facilities-related funding in San Francisco, such as capital grants, start-up grants, and revolving grants, and provides facilities-related technical assistance and consultation, group trainings and a variety of other supports to centers and family child care providers. In particular, LIIF administers the Child Care Facilities Fund (CCFF).
The CCFF was initially launched in 1998 as a public-private collaboration to retain and increase licensed capacity.
CCFF uses several distinct strategies to address the scarcity of adequate facilities including:
- Pre-Development Grants
- Renovation and Repair Grants
- Capital New Development Grants
- Move-In Grants
