In 2017, the city of San Francisco launched the Startup in Residence program, where city departments partner with a technology company to solve a technical issue within an organization. OECE, partnered with MCT, chose to redesign the childcare eligibility list known as SF3C, to create a more efficient system and improve the matching process between families and childcare programs. OECE is excited to announce the new system called Early Learning SF! Early Learning SF is set to officially launch in October and will feature the following:

  • A centralized data management and engagement system that will enable parents to make educated decisions about early care and education programs that meet their needs.
  • A reduction of program efforts to fill vacancies through sophisticated matching.
  • Programs will have direct access to report vacancies and receive a list of eligible children that match their vacancy profile.
