He then served as a volunteer teacher aboard the Peace Boat, a Japanese non-governmental organization that raises awareness and builds connections internationally among groups that work for peace, human rights, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
Upon his return to the United States, he earned his Master’s in Public Administration from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. During his time in graduate school, he worked on environmental and sustainability issues at King County. After earning his graduate degree, Carlo relocated to San Francisco and most recently served in the San Francisco Mayor’s Budget Office of Public Policy and Finance as a fiscal and policy analyst. Now, he is very excited to be a part of the OECE team and serve families and children in San Francisco.
